The Alliance for Environmental Sustainability(AES), based out of Grand Rapids Michigan, has expanded its services to better provide for the greater mid-western part of this country. Their newest office, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, managed by Sanyog Rathod has recently begun providing services to Ohio, as well as Northern Kentucky, West Virginia, and Indiana. Over the past few year, the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) has been developing the LEED for Homes Rating System. This rating system allows for homes to be designed in a manner that will cause less stress to the environment and promote healthy living for occupants, not to mention cuts costs on bills. In addition, the city of Cincinnati, one of the hot spots for this rating system, has offered a tax abatement to homes that certify under LEED. As we continue to survive through the economics of our society, we notice that there are many ways in which we can save money. One of these poplar ideas is the concept of Sustainable Design through the LEED rating system.
